“From Idea to Business”: the grant program was presented at the Polytechnic University by the Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry Ministry of the Republic of Armenia

“From Idea to Business”: within the frames of the grant program, Deputy Minister of the RA High-Tech Industry Ministry Davit Sahakyan has met with the Polytechnic University population in the format of a meeting-discussion.

The Deputy Minister introduced the advantages of the “From Idea to Business” grant program in details, while considering the inclusion of students as a priority.

Davit Sahakyan underlined that the main beneficiaries of the program should be the young people. The grant program is a new opportunity for students striving to implement their innovative ideas.

Unlike last year, this year, not only companies, but also individuals, and applicants can also participate.

The purpose of the program is to support through funding the advancement of high-tech products in the market from seeds to maturity, as well as to promote the establishment of technology companies that will have science-based solutions and become competitive in global markets.

Davit Sahakyan introduced the students to the value chain of establishment and development of technological companies, as well as the route ‘from idea to business’.

The program comprises two components: “Idea Phase” and “Market Entry”. The total grant fund of these two components is AMD 350 million.

The students have got complete information about the competition procedure, application package, evaluation stages and evaluation criteria.

In his closing speech, the Deputy Minister underlined that due to effective and joint cooperation, it will be possible to create new ideas and help students turn those ideas into business.
