You should give an opportunity to newly-formed teams to assess their strengths and get ready for more serious achievements in robotics. This year, 29 participating teams from Yerevan and provinces participated in the “Legostart” competition that was held in 4 age groups. NPUA High school represented by three teams participated in “Legostart” this year. The mission of this year’s competition organized by Ayb educational foundation was to design a robot that will assist to do research under pandemic conditions becoming a scientist itself. For example, participating teams in the primary age group should have tried to design a robot that would carry solutions from the drugstore while keeping the regulations and guidelines previously assigned to it. The aim of “Legostart” is to make this competition available to bigger number of children, to enable the new teams to get some experience and later participate in World Robot Olympiad. Legostart is a team competition. 2-3 participants can be in every team. 8-19 year old schoolchildren can participate in the competition according to age groups. The primary goals of the competition are in several directions such as inclusion of schoolchildren in practical and scientific activities, making mathematics, programming, and physics interesting for them, thus assisting the connection between the subjects, encouraging team work skills, and assisting in the practical application of theoretical knowledge.
