Participation in the Mathematical Modeling Tournament

We are immensely proud of our IB DP students for their remarkable achievements in the Mathematical Modeling Tournament!

We marked the conclusion of this prestigious competition, where our talented students demonstrated exceptional problem-solving abilities and teamwork. Through this challenging event, they applied mathematical concepts to real-world scenarios, refining their analytical and creative thinking skills.

We are delighted to announce that our students not only successfully completed the tournament but also received certificates in recognition of their outstanding participation and dedication.

Beyond numbers and equations, this experience fostered essential skills such as creativity, collaboration, and adaptability—qualities that will serve them well in future academic and professional pursuits. This tournament was more than just a competition; it was an invaluable learning opportunity that underscored the importance of innovation, perseverance, and the power of teamwork.

Congratulations to our students on this outstanding accomplishment! We look forward to witnessing their continued success and growth in all future endeavors.

About hackathon!

What will the RA energy system look like in the near future? The students try to find the answer to this main question through modeling. The hackathon jointly organized by the NPUA and the Russian state “Rosatom” corporation. 7 teams are participating: 6 from the Polytechnic and 1 from the Armenian-Russian University.

In his welcoming speech, Sargis Asatryants, Vice-rector for Internationalization and reforms of the NPUA, emphasized that during its more than 90 years of existence, the Polytechnic was the main engine of innovation and progress of both Armenia and the former Union. “And although we are proud of the past and the legacy we have created, our eyes are on the future. We have an ambitious plan to continue the forward movement, focusing on the introduction of new technologies, the development of research capabilities and the expansion of international connections.”

The participating teams of the hackathon, taking as a starting point the trend of increasing renewable energy in Hayatsan, must simulate the production of electricity in the four seasons of the year, harmonizing the capacities of the generating, transmission and distribution networks.
