Students of the NPUA Yerevan High School International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (DP) met with Yongqian Jin, a representative from the Office of International Student Recruitment and Services at the University of Michigan (UM) – Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) Joint Institute.

The main purpose of the meeting was to raise awareness among potential applicants. The guest from China mentioned that the joint institute, which serves as a model of Chinese-American higher education cooperation, has achieved remarkable results in recent years. The institute’s main areas of focus, including internationalization efforts and the implementation of international programs, were presented. UM-SJTU JI offers specialized educational programs in China taught in English.

Yongqian Jin discussed the professions in high demand today and how students enrolled in the IB Diploma Programme can pursue those professions without taking entrance exams. The young students shared their views, and a question-and-answer session followed.
