At the National Polytechnic University of Armenia, the publication of the biographical series “Notable Scientists of the Polytechnic University” continues, which began back in 2012, in the memory of Harutyun Terzyan’s 80th birthday as “Bio-bibliography”.
The 2nd edition of the biographical series published in 2013, which was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Polytechnic University, summarizes the academic, national and international scientific and educational aspects of the 50-year activities of Yury Sargsyan, the organizer of scientific and educational activities, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, long-term rector of the university, Honorary Professor of NPUA, Academician at the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia, under the rubric ‘with the Polytechnic University, for the Polytechnic University.
During the lifetime, new realities and changes have taken place both in the yearbook of the Polytechnic University and in the life of Yuri Sargsyan: his new ideas of scientific and educational aspects were brought to life both at the Polytechnic University and at the RA Higher Education Center. On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the scientist and prominent person, “Yuri Levon Sargsyan – bio-bibliography”, an updated version was republished with new activities.
This edition of Yuri Sargsyan’s “Bio-bibliography” is the chronological continuation of the previous one. The main dates of his scientific activities, the overview of life, scientific and social activity, number of his scientific works, the list of inventions, patents and scientific works supervised by him, literary works reflecting his work and memorable speeches, famous people’s words about him, Yu.Sargsyan’s self-analysis of the results of his scientific activity were finalized and supplemented.
The Polytechnic University as the unique higher technological institution of the Republic has its long-lasting contribution to the development of scientific and technical thought, technical education and industry in our country. Ahead of the 90th anniversary of the Polytechnic University, the publication of the “Notable Scientists of the Polytechnic University” biographical series will continue, dedicated both to those who stood at the inception of technical thought and activities, and to famous Polytechnic University students who continue their work today.
The famous scientists of the Polytechnic University are prominent scientists of the engineering thought, scientific and education thought of the republic, graduates of the Polytechnic University, whose names have often got beyond the borders of our country.
The publication of the biographical series is the gratitude of the National Polytechnic University of Armenia to the prominent Polytechnic University community.
