The Polytechnic University is willing to assist Poland in building the new nuclear unit: NPUA delegation in Lublin presented the leading scientific experience and cooperation scopes of the university

Within the frames of Erasmus + KA1 program the Polytechnic University delegation was hosted at Lublin University of Technology (Poland) to participate in “International Staff Training and Teaching Week”.

The aim of the business trip was the exchange of international experience, staff mobility, as well as learning about the availability and peculiarities of teaching experience of different specialties carried out at Lublin University of Technology.

The first meeting within the frames of the international week with the leadership of Lublin University was held in warm and cooperative atmosphere. Specialists from Armenia, Indonesia, India, Morocco and other countries have presented development trends of their countries and universities as well as number of students and mobility within the frames of Erasmus. NPUA delegation introduced the growth of RA IT sector of the last years, as well as specializations of the university and development perspectives.

During our visit, students of the Faculty of Electrical Technology and Computer Science of Lublin University of Technology being the second one in the country in the sphere of innovation had listened to lectures on thermal and nuclear electric units, protection of nature from its influence and respective emissions as well as on thermal energy, thermodynamics, energy efficiency and energy saving.

At the Faculty of Mechanics and Machine-building of Lublin University of Technology, Polytechnic University delegation has presented to the university representatives and other partners the NPUA structure and history, functioning of NPUA IEEE and especially Chair of Thermal Energy and Nature Protection.

They have also met the dean of the Faculty of Environmental Engineering, Professor Beata Kovalsca and laboratory head Jacek Chervinski. They presented capabilities and works done of the faculty and especially environmental analysis laboratory.

Poland is going to build a new nuclear energy unit. The Polytechnic University suggested its willingness to assist in the establishment works on “Assessment report on the influence of nuclear power unit on the environment”. They were rather enthusiastic about this suggestion.

They had series of meetings in scientific and educational institutions. Polytechnic University staff has had series of lectures on data structure, big data, information storage and organization, RAID idea, types, databases, ODBC/JDBC, and monitoring assistance.

They have made arrangements to periodically carry out bilateral visits.
