From July 4 to 8, 2022, head of the Grant Programs and Fundraising Division Ani Mamikonyan within the frames of Erasmus+ international credit mobility program took part in internationalization forum held at the University of A Coruna, Spain.
24 universities from 11 countries have taken part in the forum and the Republic of Armenia was represented by NPUA.
At the opening ceremony of the forum, Deputy Director for International Advancement and Language Policy of the University of A Coruna Begonia Crespo Garcia and Deputy Director for International Relations Division (Erasmus institutional coordinator) exchange programs and international agreements Evaristo Jas Gomes held speeches attaching importance to the establishment of new cooperation and deepening and expansion of existing cooperation.
Spanish courses were included in forum agenda the aim of which was to acquaint participants with the Spanish Language in the context of culture and higher education internationalization as well as use the language during excursions and tourism.
They also visited university branch in Ferrol city where Vice-rector for Social Affairs Maria Khesus Movila Fernandes, Director of Ferrol branch Ana Isabel Ares Pernas and chief specialist of International Division of the branch Ana Peres Ramos have welcomed the guests, introduced study programs implemented at the branch, visited university laboratories, workshops, the library, research centers and got acquainted with the environment where the learning processes are carried out.
City Ferrol is situated on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean and is the main center of ship-building of Spain.
Within the frames of touristic visit, participants had an opportunity to admire the beauty of Ferrol and the Atlantic Ocean.
They also visited Santiago de Compostela where they have gone to Saint James Cathedral that is one of the symbols of the city. Santiago de Compostela Cathedral is a sanctuary for Christians that is the final destination for many Christian pilgrims.
Thanks to meetings “Internationalization coffee” aiming at the internationalization, forum participants had an opportunity to meet specialists of the University of A Coruna that share academic/administrative interests, and presented their best experience and as a result of discussions some cooperation possibilities were established with other European universities.
They have come to some preliminary agreement with the University of A Coruna on applying for grants to develop mutual capacity as well as expand directions of the existing cooperation.
NPUA cooperates with the University of A Coruna from 2015 onwards carrying out student, academic and administrative short-term exchange programs in the spheres of economics and Information Technology.
