Today, on November 27, Rector of the National Polytechnic University of Armenia Gor Vardanyan participated in the gala event of CaseKey program organized in Dilijan educational and research center of RA Central Bank, as well as in panel discussions on practical skills of students and on importance of the role of social responsibility in the private sector, where the co-founder of the company Picsart Armenia Artavazd Mehrabyan, co-founder of Team Telecom Armenia company Alexander Yesayan, co-founder of MAROG company Magda Markosyan were present as well. The Panel discussion was conducted by chairman of the Board of Trustees of “Ayb” educational complex Aram Pakhchanyan.
During the initiated panel discussions, Rector Gor Vardanyan, as an executive of an educational and scientific sphere institution, introduced his approaches to higher education, to general education sphere, addressed the policy implemented by the university aimed at High School adjacent to the Polytechnic University and pointed out the approaches being applied in HEI to succeed in this sector. The rector emphasized the significant importance of self-paced education of our youth that assists them in their future activities and enables universities to work with the students that are capable to self-actualize in academic environment. The opportunities to apply knowledge in practice was also pointed out, that the university strives to currently implement. The rector considers necessary to employ teaching staff, while implementing the right policy for their employment, to have future successes. According to Gor Vardanyan, it is not always a prerequisite that a good specialist can be a good lecturer and we should pay a significant attention to it and open opportunities to employ lecturers with high professional knowledge and via such qualitative capabilities to educate qualified specialists necessary for the labor market. They also addressed the changes necessary to implement in this sphere to achieve future successes.
The opening ceremony of the first contest of CaseKey business problem solutions followed the discussions.
