The Polytechnic University summarized the no-fee course series on “How to start a business and a start-up” organized for participants of 44 day-long Artsakh war

 

On November 26, the program was summarized and certificates were issued to participants of no-fee course series on “How to start a business and a start-up” organized within the framework of the grant program “Creative Spark” financed by the British Council which took place at National Polytechnic University of Armenia, target group of which were participants, injured soldiers at 44 day-long Arsakh war, students from Artsakh and immigrants.

At the end of the course, participants received certificates from NPUA Rector Gor Vardanyan, who necessitated the implementation of similar programs: “National Polytechnic University of Armenia, staying loyal to its title, emphasizes the idea of staying “national” and opens opportunities not only for NPUA students, but also for students and interested beneficiaries from other HEIs. The consolidation of ideas and notions of beneficiaries and generations from different spheres can become a foundation for new interesting business solutions.” The Rector pointed out that the courses bearing continuing character will encourage development and spread of creative ideas and entrepreneurial approaches.

In the end, G. Vardanyan issued certificates to all participants of the course meanwhile wished them to implement innovative ideas obtained during the course. Participants also expressed their gratitude to the Rector and organizers of such a meaningful and interesting course that will later encourage their self-actualization as entrepreneurs.

The goal of this 5-day course was to acquaint the participants with innovative and creative thinking, modern trends of business modeling and international terminology in this sphere. Thanks to the vice-rector for International Cooperation and Educational Reforms, PhD in economics, experienced course mentor Sargis Asatryants, participants of the course obtained knowledge in business, entrepreneurship, business modeling as well as development of innovative and creative thinking as a result of the course. During the course, participants formed 9 teams and in the course of the training modeled their business ideas based on newly obtained knowledge.

Similar courses will have a continuing nature and will be carried out in several stages. It will be followed by a 7-day no-fee course “Create yourself”, that will also be full of practical trainings and will prepare the participating teams for the video contest of Creative Spark “Big Idea Challenge”. This is one more step towards the development of innovative “start-ups” for young people in the context of spreading word about it.
