“CREATIVE SPARK” – “BIG IDEA CHALLENGE”

The “Creative Spark” Higher Education Entrepreneurship Program, which was launched in 2018, was summarized at the National Polytechnical University of Armenia.
Armenian National Engineering Laboratories (ANEL) of National Polytechnic University of Armenia (NPUA) are executing the program jointly with City University and Change School.
«Creative Spark» is a five-year initiative aimed at promoting the development of creative entrepreneurial education by supporting international cooperation between the United Kingdom and the seven countries participating in the program, including educational institutions in Armenia. The project is being implemented by the British Council in Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan), in the South Caucasus (Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia) and in Ukraine.
During a year, over 500 students and lecturers have had the opportunity to develop their knowledge of English language to become beneficiaries of the «LearnEnglishSelect» course. More than 30 lecturers have been trained. More than 600 students have gained entrepreneurial knowledge and skills by participating in “Creative Entrepreneurship” courses.
The university stage of the “Big Idea Challenge” competition was summed up and the ten most exciting and creative ideas presented by the participants were announced at the NPUA event on June 6.
A unique in its format the “Big Idea Challenge” competition allowed the participants to demonstrate their entrepreneurial skills and creative thinking.
The winners have got a possibility to step to the second round of the “Big Idea Challenge competition. The selected Ideas will be evaluated by international business expert groups and national winners will be announced in July.
