Paruyr Sevak: “Immortals order us”

The Poems of the greatest poet Paruyr Sevak are modern and will never become old because the pain and pride of the poet and all Armenians is reflected in his works.

The 95th anniversary of the poet united all the Polytechnic population who are Sevak-lovers on April 11 at the Polytechnic College. A number of students and intelligentsia once again revalued the works of the writer.

The initiator of the event was the College lecturer of Armenian Hasmik Manukyan. NPUA Rector Vostanik Marukhyan, grandchild of P. Sevak, literary critic Sevak Ghazaryan, literary critic Arkmenik Nikoghosyan, College director E. Elbakyan, deputy directors, parents and students were present at the event.

The Polytechnic Band started the event with its excellent instrumental performance. Then, the audience found itself in the 1970s, met P. Sevak, his father and mother. Poems from almost all the Collections of works were recited and made the audience enjoy the recitals and stay under the emotions.

Being impressed by the event, Vostanik Marukhyan considered the recitals of the students excellent and pointed out that the Polytechnic population was always highly motivated and knowledgeable and loved reading books. In the end, V. Marukhyan again attached importance to the necessity to revive the works of Sevak and as a final note, recited a nice poem by Sevak “I pray for”.

Director of the College also attached importance to such events and pointed out that besides professional capabilities, students should also be versatile.

All the students as chief participants of the event from group K 84-2 were invited by the director of Museum of Sevak, Sevak Ghazaryan to participate in the event on June 17 to commemorate Sevak.

Ghazaryan and the lecturer of Armenian, event organizer H. Manukyan were awarded the certificates of gratitude.
