“Technoweek” is dedicated to the 85th anniversary of National Polytechnic University of Armenia.
Participants of “Technoweek” should have formed their teams of 2-5 people and apply for participation in the competition of innovative ideas. During their team works, the students had an opportunity to get professional counseling to develop their ideas, introduce them to the professional jury and manage to attract the potential investor. As a result, ‘SFA team’ was the winner after introducing their InvestigetoRobot – the robot-investigator of closed spaces and the team received a special reward from UCOM Armenia Company.
‘Three Smart team’ has won the second winning place with its automated cart ‘Cartbot’ that will function at airports, big malls and shops to move people’s goods without any intervention and ‘GGT team’ has won the third place for their creation to increase the battery life.
“As a graduate of the Polytechnic University and co-founder of the technologically innovative company, I cannot stay away from the event that develops the most important branch of Armenia’s economy. Within the framework of Ucom’s corporate social responsibility, we try to encourage the functioning of such programs that lay the foundation of new generation of engineers, their professional development and career building”- Hayk Yesayan, the co-founder and managing director of UCOM highlighted.
Within the framework of the program, on October 15-22, within the framework of the event “Open Doors Day”, the students had an opportunity to visit and get acquainted with infrastructures available at the university, participate in engineering project exhibitions, become participants of the competition on innovative ideas and propose their innovative ideas.
This was followed by master classes, seminars, interesting meetings and discussions. Within the framework of the entrepreneurship day, the students have an opportunity to meet the representatives of leading companies, founding directors and get answers to their posed questions.
