“The best lecturer”, “The scientific achievement”, “Head of an educational division demonstrating the best results”, “The best administrative employee”, “The best partner organization”, “The best public activities”, “The best sportsman”, “The best Master’s student”, “The best bachelor’s student”, “The best college student” and “The best pupil” of the High school: these were the categories that were awarded during the event organized under the rubric “New Year at the Polytechnic University” on December 26.
Chairman of NPUA Board of Trustees, Delegate of the National Assembly of the RA Samvel Nikoyan, Coordinator of the Board of Trustees of AYF, Delegate of the National Assembly of the RA Karen Avagyan, rector of the university Vostanik Marukhyan, deputy rector Gor Vardanyan, vice rectors, representatives of the academic staff of the university, students and heads of student councils of other universities were present at the event organized by the Student Council of National Polytechnic University of Armenia (NPUA) and Armenian Youth Foundation (AYF).
Within the framework of the “Awarding ceremony – 2017 at the Polytechnic University”, awards were granted for the first time to university employees, representatives of the academic staff, and partner organizations. The categories “The best public activities” and “The best sportsman” were included for the first time and were novelties in the ceremony.
Karen Avagyan, while congratulating students and lecturers, expressed his gratitude to all the students who were active during their public works.
The rector of the university Vostanik Marukhyan announced the coming 85th anniversary of Polytechnic University establishment: “When evaluating the passing year we can state that it was generally a year of achievements for our university”.
Winners of the awarding ceremony were awarded NPUA Student Council Gold Medals and second and third place participants were awarded certificates.
During the awarding ceremony, 8 students were awarded White Diplomas founded by NPUA Student Council, showing that the students getting it, during their educational processes, also carried out honest and selfless public works.
For their huge contribution in the establishment of NPUA Student Council, NPUA deputy rector, former President of the Student Council Gor Vardanyan and assistant to rector, former President of SSC Karapet Kogarov were awarded Medals.
The supreme title “Honorable President” of the Student Council was granted to the former President of the Student Council Gor Vardanyan.
The festive cake of the “Awarding ceremony-2017 at the Polytechnic University” was cut by NPUA rector Vostanik Marukhyan and NPUA President of the Student Council Gevorg Harutyunyan after congratulatory speeches, words of gratitude and the awarding ceremony.
