ESTABLISHING THE LABORATORY AND DIDACTIC CLASSROOMS OF ARMENIAN-NORWEGIAN FRIENDSHIP IN NATIONAL POLYTECHNIC UNIVERSITY OF ARMENIA
Events dedicated to the 110- th anniversary of the major Armenian scientist, outstanding organic chemist, a full member of the Academy of Sciences of the RA Araxi Babayan will be held on May 5.
In the frames of these events, a teaching and research laboratory for the analysis of organic substances in the water phase, and didactic classrooms equipped with 11 computers and a modern scientific and technical library on chemical and environmental technologies will be opened as part of the events. All these events are financed by a grant from CPEA – 2012/10097 / ENORA, the program of “Eurasia” by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway. The program was successfully completed in 2015, the establishment of laboratories and classrooms will be completed by May, 2016. According to this program, 8-week seminar- sessions with the participation of the Youth Foundation of Armenia in the organization and invitation of participants from many universities of RA will be held. As a result, the candidates will be trained in the post-graduate program. 3 international conferences with the participation of scientists from about 30 countries have been held.
The combination of the events dedicated to A.T.Babayan, and opening the laboratory and didactic classrooms is also due to the fact that Academician A.Babayan was one of the owners of “Nansen passports”.
